| Systems Engineering
FGM brings a customer-centric approach to performing all phases of systems engineering on programs of varying sizes. We have performed systems engineering for defense-wide and military service specific projects, the State Department, the Veterans Administration, and international civil agencies.
We begin all efforts with a clear understanding of the business and functional relationships between the direct customer, stakeholders, and related constituencies. We then execute systems engineering tasks with a unique pragmatic perspective that ensures all products reflect the shared project objectives and priorities. Our significant systems engineering activities, and their benefits to the customer, typically include:
- Concept of Operations definition and refinement to ensure all stakeholders agree on system capabilities
- Development of high-level requirements to reflect and manage users requirements and expectations
- Derivation of detailed requirements that are used to enhance cost and schedule management and to ensure testability
- High-level design and architecture specification to meet statutory requirements
- Assessment and refinement of capabilities and processes that improve the development process based on lessons learned.
Executing systems engineering tasks using
a unique, pragmatic perspective.
