| Community giving and volunteerism.
FGM’s community relations efforts span the U.S. with diverse programs that support education and mentorship, promote workforce development, strengthen families, and support the arts. FGM grants recipients with technology, funding, and employee time and talent.
Through ethical leadership, social responsibility, and a commitment to civic duty we make a positive difference in the communities where we work and live. From implementing internal programs that encourage corporate responsibility among employees to advancing activities that promote community development, FGM remains committed to being a community leader and a good corporate citizen.
FGM encourages and recognizes employee volunteerism through our charitable giving program Donations for Doers. This program allows employees to support a wide range of 501(C)3 charitable organizations. We support the Northern Virginia Family Service's non-profit mission to provide care and services for families in need through corporate funding and volunteer support. We are active in the Herndon Dulles Chamber of Commerce, and we are a corporate sponsor of the Chamber's Friday Night Live concert series.
FGM's partnership with the Northern Virginia Technology Council as a "Groundhog Job Shadow Day" sponsor and our support of science and engineering fairs throughout the United states, continue our long-standing commitment to building strong community partnerships. For over ten years, FGM has sponsored Team MHz in the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Bike Tour—the largest cycling event in America supporting MS research.
FGM actively supports youth education and mentorship at the Greater San Diego Science & Engineering Fair, the Fairfax County Regional Science & Engineering Fair, and we are a sponsor of the "Youth of the Year" annual luncheon of the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii.
