Scott Gessay
Chairman and Founder
As one of FGM’s founders, and as Chief Executive Officer and President, Scott Gessay guides the long-term direction of FGM’s business, develops business strategy, manages the organization, and directs the corporate management team. Mr. Gessay leads company-wide business operations and is responsible for business performance, customer relations, and resource allocation. He is also responsible for developing FGM’s financial strategy while overseeing financial, contractual, legal, and procurement operations.
Mr. Gessay has over 20 years of executive experience and his vision and energy have propelled FGM from a small business to an information technology leader. Under Mr. Gessay’s stewardship, FGM has been recognized both locally and nationally for its work environment, technical achievements, and revenue growth. He serves on the Board of Directors for Northern Virginia Family Service and is Chairman of the Executive Advisory Council for James Madison University’s College of Integrated Science and Technology. He is also a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). Mr. Gessay has also served as Chairman for the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Gessay received a B.S. in Mathematics from James Madison University in 1981, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University in 1988.
Michael Fortier
SVP, Senior Technical Fellow and Founder
As one of FGM’s founders, and Senior Technical Fellow, Mike Fortier is responsible for helping guide FGM's technical vision and direction to include the company's future business, technology, and research and development opportunities. Mr. Fortier has over 24 years of experience in large-scale software development for C4I projects, including more than 7 years experience in the development of open systems. He was a member of the original Naval Command and Control System (NCCS) Ashore Architectural Committee, which developed the open systems development methodology, and was the principal architect and lead engineer of the Operations Support System (OSS) responsible for the first successful implementation of the open systems methodology.
Before founding FGM, Mr. Fortier worked for SAIC as a technical director in the Command and Control (C2) division, where he led a 35-person engineering development team and support staff in all aspects of the design, development, integration, and implementation of OSS system software. He also worked as the technical director for the C2 Division at Grumman-CTEC where he managed engineering staff and was responsible for the design of the Operations Support Group Prototype (OSGP), Fleet Command and Control Battle Management Plan (FCCBMP), Commanders Integrated Decision Support System (CIDSS), and a large portion of the Grumman C3I workstation. Mr. Fortier received a B.S. in microbiology from the University of Connecticut in 1976, and an M.S. in microbiology from Catholic University in 1981. He is a member of AFCEA and NDIA.
Raymond D’Amour
SVP Strategic Capture and Founder
As one of FGM’s founders, Mr. D’Amour is currently one of FGM's Senior Vice Presidents responsible for managing several of FGM's most strategic capture campaigns within the Defense market space. In this role he guides the company through the capture processes by developing specific bid strategies, bringing together winning teams, analyzing and developing pricing strategies and developing proposal strategies. Mr D'Amour has served in numerous roles while at FGM. In 1996, after successfully winning the TBMCS contract with Lockheed Martin, Mr. D'Amour opened FGM’s Colorado Springs office where he managed daily operations and provided technical direction and management guidance to FGM staff. Mr. D’Amour has over 29 years of experience in designing and developing command and control systems covering complete lifecycle development and sustainment.
Prior to the merger with FGM in 1992, Mr. D’Amour was President and founder of D’Amour and Associates where he worked on a number of significant projects for the U.S. Navy, including the Joint Maritime Command Information System (JMCIS) and Operations Support System (OSS). As a key architect of the OSS design and development team he was involved in the design of the core OSS components and integration of the overall product. Mr. D’Amour also provided direct support to the Resource Monitoring Branch for the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) effort reporting to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. As technical leader for the SORTS Modernization effort, he performed most of the requirements analysis, preliminary design, critical design, and database design. Mr. D’Amour received a B.S. in computer science from the University of Delaware in 1981. He is a member of AFCEA and NDIA.
Michael Morehouse
SVP Strategic Capture and Founder
As one of FGM’s founders, Mr. Morehouse serves as the Corporate Secretary and is currently one of FGM's Senior Vice Presidents responsible for managing several of FGM's most strategic capture campaigns within the Intelligence market space. In this role he guides the company through the capture processes by developing specific bid strategies, bringing together winning teams, analyzing and developing pricing strategies and developing proposal strategies. During his time at FGM Mr. Morehouse has served in several management roles including Director of Business Development, COO and Director of Corporate Development. As the Director of Corporate Development, Mr. Morehouse was responsible for all merger and acquisition related activities across the corporation. This included identifying growth opportunities based on FGM’s strategic plan, conducting all associated research, and moving prospective candidates through FGM’s acquisition pipeline. In 2009 Mr. Morehouse led the successful acquisition of Edge Technologies' Enterprise Service Group.
Prior to his management roles Mr. Morehouse was a software engineer. He has more than 26 years of experience, designing and developing medium and large scale software applications, including over 20 years experience managing software development projects. Mr. Morehouse is an active member of AFCEA where he served as Co-Chairman of the International Small Business Committee, working closely with a select group of small business owners, government representatives, and AFCEA professionals to promote AFCEA’s small business outreach programs. Mr. Morehouse is also a member of the American Management Association (AMA), the Northern Virginia Technology Council, NDIA, and an active Wolf Trap Foundation supporter.
